What tournament formats are run?▾
Single: 8 players, Double Elimination — each player plays at least 3 matches.
Doubles: 12 players (6 pairs), round-robin Swiss system with round and time limits.
Round-robin: everyone plays everyone. Places are determined by number of wins (ties broken by sets and games).
How does the draw work?▾
We draw lots to determine opponents. In exceptional cases a randomizer is used for the draw.
How does the reserve list work?▾
If the main bracket is full, registration continues into the reserve list. When someone withdraws, the bot automatically moves the next player up and sends a message. If you haven't been notified yet but realize you can't play — please withdraw early so you don't hold a spot. If a player's rating is below the tournament minimum, they also go to the reserve list, from which an admin manually moves them into the main bracket when possible.
What is the scoring system?▾
Regular matches are one set with no time limit:
• A and B: to 6 games, tie-break to 7 at 5:5 (win by 2)
• C and D: to 4 games, tie-break to 7 at 3:3
At 40:40 in categories A and B we play one advantage; if it goes back to 40:40, a golden point decides the game. In categories C and D it's a golden point straight away.
How are the final matches played?▾
Depending on the remaining time, participants choose the format:
• Two sets to 4 games (at 1:1 — tie-break to 7 or 10)
• One set to 6 games (at 5:5 — tie-break)
• One set to 4 games (at 3:3 — tie-break)
• Or another format agreed with the opponent.
How early do I have to withdraw from a tournament?▾
At least 48 hours before the tournament starts. If you cancel later and no replacement can be found, you'll have to pay for participation so the cost doesn't change for the other players.
What is NTRP level?▾
NTRP (National Tennis Rating Program) is a system for rating playing level. Some tournaments have a minimum NTRP threshold. If your level is below it, you go to the reserve list, and an admin may move you into the main bracket when spots are available.
How are courts assigned?▾
Pairs numbered 1–3 play first. Pair #4 waits. After that, players with the fewest matches played get priority in choosing a court. In the finals — by standings: 1–2, 3–4, 5–6, 7–8.
How long is the warm-up?▾
First game: maximum 15 minutes warm-up (keep track of time yourself). Subsequent games: minimal warm-up.
